On-Demand Balance Notifications can be sent to a Patient or Guarantor.
- Use Case: A Patient calls the office and wants to pay their bill, but the office does not want to collect credit card info over the phone.
- The office can select the "Send Balance Notification" link on the Patient or Guarantor Dashboard and walk the Patient through the payment process in real time.
- On-Demand Balance Notifications will not increase the Guarantor's Dunning Count.
- On-Demand Notifications display in the Statement/Notification History panel on the Guarantor Dashboard.
- If the Patient's POPS Balance is $0.00, an On-Demand Balance Notification can be sent but a Payment cannot be made.
- If none of the Patients or Guarantors have had a Batched Statement, an On-Demand Notification cannot be sent.
Create Templates for On-Demand Balance Notifications
You cannot use Balance Notification templates for On-Demand Balance Notifications.
- If you wish to create templates for On-Demand Balance Notifications:
- On the Patient or Guarantor Dashboard, select Send Balance Notification.

- Select - MANAGE - in the Text Editor dropdown.

- Select Add, or select the Modify icon next to the template that you want to edit.

- Notification Info: Enter a Description, select the Delivery Type (Text/Email), and mark the template as Active or Inactive.
- Text Editor: Copy an exiting Template using the dropdown, or enter the message in the text box.
- Select Save [F2].

Send an On-Demand Balance Notification
- From the Patient or Guarantor Dashboard, select Send Balance Notification.
- Patient Dashboard > Balance Panel

- Guarantor Dashboard > Statement/Notification History

Send Criteria
- Guarantor: The selected Guarantor will determine the Balance.
- Guarantors that have never had a Batched Statement will not appear in the list.
- Send To: The selected Send To contact will determine the Send Criteria.
- Entities without contact information will not appear in the list.
- If the Phone Number or Email is incorrect, select the Modify icon (optional).

Text Editor
- If an existing Template exists, select it from the dropdown.
- To create a new Template, select Manage in the dropdown.
- Modify the message in the Text Editor, or enter text that is not associated with the Template.
- Select Send Now [F2].
