What is Occupational Health?
Occupational Health is a field of health care with multiple disciplines dedicated to the well-being and safety of employees in the workplace.
- It has a strong focus on injury prevention and employee education. Occupational health services include employee wellness, pre-placement testing, ergonomics, occupational therapy, occupational medicine, and more.
- Predominantly, the Employer or Workers Comp will be responsible for services.
- Examples: Drug testing for drivers, routine physical exams, pre-employment testing, and Worker’s Comp injury
- In the System, an Invoice (Statement) is sent to the Payer (Employer) which can have one or more Encounters for multiple Patients.
