Direct Scheduling Setup (Beta)


InfoDirect Scheduling is a component of POPS, which is a Premium Add-On Feature. Additionally, Direct Scheduling is a Beta Feature. Contact your Account Manager for more information.

  1. Create a Direct Scheduling Questionnaire for each Appointment Type (optional).
  2. Enable Direct Scheduling for each of the following and add Patient-Facing information.
  • Appointment Types
  • Facilities
  • Resources
  • Slots
  1. Incorporate Direct Scheduling into any applicable Schedule Builds.

Direct Scheduling Questionnaire

  • The Direct Scheduling Questionnaire must be created before it can be added to the applicable Appointment Type(s).
  • Questionnaires are not mandatory, but help control who schedules Appointments through Direct Scheduling.

Appointment Type

To learn how to add/modify an Appointment Type, see: Appointment Types: Add/Delete/Expire.

  1. Select the Enable Direct Scheduling checkbox.
  2. Questionnaire: Choose the desired Questionnaire from the dropdown, or select None.
  3. Patient-Facing Description: Enter the Appointment Type that the Patient will see when Direct Scheduling.
  • Note: This should be a friendly name that a Patient would recognize.
  1. Patient-Facing Details: Enter any additional information that the Patient may need to schedule using this Appointment Type.
  • This will show up as a subtitle under the Patient-Facing Description in the Direct Scheduling portal.
  1. Patient Instructions: Enter instructions for the Patient.
  • Example: Remind the Patient to bring their Insurance Card to their Appointment.
  1. Complete the remaining fields and select Save [F2].

Facilities

  1. Select the Enable Direct Scheduling checkbox.
  2. Patient-Facing Description: Enter the name of the Facility that the Patient will see when Direct Scheduling.
  3. Address: The address will be visible to the Patient when Direct Scheduling.
  4. Complete the remaining fields and select Save [F2].

Resources

To learn how to add/modify a Resource, see: Add Resources to the Calendar.

  1. Select the Enable Direct Scheduling checkbox.
  2. Patient-Facing Description: Enter the name of the Facility that the Patient will see when Direct Scheduling.
  3. Complete the remaining fields and select Save [F2].

Slots

To learn how to add/modify slots, see: Create Slot Types.

  1. Select the Enable Direct Scheduling checkbox.
  2. Select at least one Appointment Type that has Direct Scheduling enabled.
  • Note: You can select a combination of Directly Schedulable and non-Directly Schedulable Appointment Types on one Slot.
  1. Complete the remaining fields and select Save [F2].
