Encounter Dashboard Overview

Access the Encounter Dashboard

You can go to the Patient Dashboard from the Encounter Dashboard by selecting the Patient Number or the Patient Name in the Title Bar.


Panels on the Encounter Dashboard

  1. TagsTags can be added to an Encounter for better functionality when working Charges.
  1. Actions: This panel contains action buttons that are Encounter Specific.
  2. Charge: Information for this Encounters Charges
  3. Procedures: List of all Procedures on this Encounter with Modifiers, Diagnosis Links, and Charge Amount for each Procedure Line Item.
  4. Claim Attachments Panel:
  5. Balance: This panel shows:
  • The Insurance, Patient, and Collection Balances which are Encounter specific.
  • Responsible Party: This shows where the responsibility for payment lies with Aging.
  • Policy Breakdown: This panel shows
  • The Insurance Profile for this Encounter
  • Claim Status
  • Balance for the Insurance and Patient
  1. Transaction Details: Shows the charges plus any transactions that have been posted, such as Payments, Adjustments, and Patient Responsibility.
  • Each line item can be expanded to see the details

  1. Policy Breakdown: This panel shows
  • The Insurance Profile for this Encounter
  • Claim Status
  • Balance for the Insurance and Patient
  1. Validations: Contains Validation Warnings from Incomplete Charges, Charge Management Rules, or Local Edits.
  2. Notes: Billing, Alerts, or Header notes.
  1. Demographics: Link to edit Patient Dashboard demographics.
  2. HL7 messages: Electronic messages from HL7 interface.
  3. Dashboard Controls: This allows you to configure your screen and save it.
