Tags Overview

The goal of Tags is to replace the need for Encounter Custom Claim Statuses which will give better access and functionality when working Charges.

  • One of the key advantages of using Tags is that multiple tags can be attached to an Encounter.
  • Access to Tags is controlled by the User’s permissions.

Tags

  • New Tags can be created by the user in the new Tag Library, or in the Tag lookup.
  • Multiple Tags on an Encounter can be Attached or Resolved in one step.
  • Tag Attributes can be used to Hold Statements, Hold Claims, and can be chosen as an Incomplete Charge Reason.
  • Tags are reportable on multiple Reports using the new Tag filters.
  • Resolved Tags are retained in the Tag History on each Encounter.
  • Encounters can be exported to an Encounter Worklist based on their Tags.
  • Background and font colors can be customized.
  • Tags are viewable on the Incomplete Charge Review screen, Encounters by Status List, and the Claims Submission Queue.
  • Tags are located on the upper left of the Encounter Dashboard and the Modify Charge screen and can be Resolved or Deleted from these screens.
  • Resolved Tags can be included or excluded by selecting exc res in the Tag field. (The “R” is visible only if there are Resolved Tags on the Encounter.)
