Job Scheduler Overview

Job Scheduler Overview

Access the Job Scheduler

  1. Select Admin on the Left Side Menu.
  2. Select the Job Scheduler Button in the Setup panel.

Basic Structure of the Job Scheduler

The Job Scheduler is used to run scheduled tasks and reports.

  • For example: A job created for Batch Eligibility will check Insurance Eligibility for all Patients on the Calendar for a chosen day.

The Job Scheduler comprises three basic panels, but some jobs have other panels depending on the Run Function chosen.

  • Job Run Function: Choose the function you want to schedule.
  •  Pattern: The Pattern panel allows for the selection of how often the job will run.
  • Daily: Run every day or set to skip a specific number of days before running again. For example: If set to Daily and recur to 2 days, the job will skip a day.
  • Weekly: Recur every X number of weeks with the option to select a specific day (or days) of the week to run the job. For example: If set to recur every 2 weeks on Monday, the jog will run on Mondays but will skip a week before running again.
  •  Range
  • Enter a Begin Date for the function to start running and set a time of day (using your time zone) for the job
  • Set the job to run indefinitely by selecting No End Date, for a certain # of Occurrences, or set an End Date.
  • The job will become Inactive once it reaches the maximum # of Occurrences or the End Date set.

Time Zone Sensitive

The Job Scheduler is sensitive to the Time Zone that the User is in.

  • If a Job is scheduled for 7:00 AM Central Time, the System stores that Time Zone for the Job.
  • The Job will run at 7:00 AM Central Time.
