ERA File Dashboard


The ERA File Dashboard is an overview of:

  • The ERA information
  • Breakdown of the Status of each Remit
  • Breakdown of Check Amount, Applied Payments and Takebacks, Disbursed, and Unapplied.
  • Attach a new and existing Receipts


ERA File Dashboard

Select the ERA number on the ERA List screen.


  1. Modify link:
  • Connect a different Insurance
  • Manually change the File Status
  • Add a Note.
  1. View Remit Items: This link navigates to the ERA Remit Items screen, which lists all the Transactions on the ERA.
  2. View EOB: Select this link to View the Transactions for all Encounters on the ERA in EOB format.
  3. View ANSI: View the Raw Electronic ERA File (835).
  1. Insurance: Name of the Insurance that is connected to the ERA.
  2. File Status: The Status of the ERA Remit, such as Loaded, Posted, etc.

Statuses after Applying the Remit

This is the breakdown of the number of Remits in each Status. Each number is a link to the Remits in that Status.

  1. To be Applied: Remits that did not post
  2. Posted: Remits that posted
  3. On Hold: Remits that went on Hold, which need to be posted manually
  4. Denial Worklist: Remits that were sent to the Denial Worklist for non-payment
  5. Custom Worklist: Remits that were sent to a Custom Worklist to be worked manually
  6. Old System: Number of Old System Remits
  7. Crossover Mapping: Number of Remits that could not connect to an Insurance, which need to be mapped to an Insurance.


Payments Breakdown

This is the breakdown of money after the Remittance has been Applied. This data will be useful in reconciling the Remittance.

  1. Check Amount is the Total Amount of the Payment.
  • This is not necessarily a check, but can be an Electronic Deposit (EFT) or a Virtual Credit Card.
  1. Applied Payments: Amount of the Payments that posted when the ERA was Applied nor posted after Applying.
  • Disbursed: This is money that is taken out of your A/R, such as Old Office Payments.
  • Unapplied: These are Payments that did not post when the ERA was Applied.
  1. Applied Takebacks: Amount of the Takebacks that have been posted (Manually or Auto-Posted.
  • Disbursed: This is money that is removed from your A/R, such as Old Office Takebacks.
  • Unapplied: These are Takebacks that have not been posted when the ERA was Applied nor posted after Applying the Remit.
  1. Net Unapplied: Amount that has not been posted.
  • This number should be 0.00 when all transactions have been posted.


Receipts Attached

Receipts attached to this ERA not on a Remit

  1. Attach a New Receipt
  • Use when the payer adjudication is in the Provider Adjustments section of the EOB.
  • A Receipt is not automatically created for Provider Adjustments.
  • This link allows you to create a new Receipt that is attached to this ERA.
  1. Attach Existing Receipt
  • Use when you would like to link an existing Receipt to this ERA.
  • Example: A Remit was posted manually before the ERA was received. The manually posted Receipt can be attached to the ERA to change it to Posted
