Add Appointments for Multiple Resources

Add Appointments for Multiple Resources

If a Patient has multiple Appointments that need to be scheduled for multiple Resources, the Copy feature can be used to add them easily.

  • This is particularly helpful for Ortho practices where the Patient may have more than one Appointment on the same day, such as OT and PT visits.

Add Appointments for Multiple Resources

The Appointments will be added for the same Time and Type for all the Resources that are selected. The Appointments can be moved to the appropriate Time Slots using drag and drop.

  1. Select an empty Appointment Slot where you want one of the Appointments.

  1. Select the Resource checkboxes where the Appointments should be added.
  2. Look up the Patient.
  3. Select Type.
  4. Select the Save/Manage button.

  1. Select the New Appt button to use the Copy feature which copies the Patient and Appointment Information.

  • The New Appt button changes to Copied (grayed out).
  1. Use the X to close the screen.

Move the Appointment Time and Change the Appointment Type

  • If you need to change the Appointment Time for any of the Resources, you can drag and drop the Appointment to a new Slot.
  • Hold down the left mouse button on the Appointment you want to move to a new Slot and drag it to the appropriate Slot.

  • Open each of the Appointments and choose the Modify Appointment link to change the Appointment Type.

**When finished, select the Red X on the Title Bar to disconnect from the Patient.

Avoid Moving the Appointments

If you do not want to move the Appointments after creating them, use this method instead.

Follow the Steps 1 - 7 above, except select only one Resource in step 2 above.

  1. Choose the Time Slot on each Resource to add the additional Appointments.
  • This will automatically put the Appointment on the correct Resource.
  1. Select the Paste link.
  • The Patient will be automatically selected.
  • If you have copied multiple Appointments, you may get a list of those Patients. Choose the Patient from the list.
  1. Add the Type of Appointment.
  2. Select Save [F2].
  3. Do the same for the other Resources Appointments.

**When finished, select the Red X on the Title Bar to disconnect from the Patient.

Use an existing Appointment to Schedule Future Appointments

You can use today's Appointment to Schedule the next set of Appointments for multiple Resources.

  1. Select today's Appointment on the Calendar.
  2. Select the New Appt button.

  1. Close the screen using the X.

  1. Go to the day and select the Appointment Slot on the Resource where the Appointment should be scheduled.

  1. The Patient will be selected automatically.
  2. Select the Type of Appointment.
  3. Select Save [F2].
  • Do the same for remaining Resource Appointments.
