Reschedule an Appointment/Reschedule Queue

Move an Appointment to the Reschedule Queue


The Reschedule Queue only displays if there is at least one Patient in the Queue.

  • Select the Appointment on the Calendar to Reschedule the Patient if the Reschedule Queue is not displayed.

Drag and Drop

  • Left click your mouse and drag the appointment to another time slot or to the Reschedule Queue.
    • You can only drag and drop to the Reschedule Queue if it is displayed on the left menu.
  • Enter the reason for Rescheduling in the Note field.

Patient's Appointment Screen

The Appointment must be in a Scheduled status to be Rescheduled from the Patient's Appointment Screen.
  • Select the Reschedule button.
  • Enter the Reason for Rescheduling.
  • Select Submit.


On the next screen choose one of the following:
  1. LinkSelect to link to an existing Appointment.
  2. Search: Opens the Availability Search feature in the sidebar pre-filtered for this patient.
  3. Close the pop-up and manage the Appointment from the Reschedule Queue. If you choose this option, see the instructions below for Rescheduling.

Use the Pop-Out Icon on the top right of the Reschedule Queue to display the list of Patients in the Reschedule Queue.
  1. This list can be exported to Excel or a PDF.

Reschedule a Patient that is in the Reschedule Queue

  • Select the pop-out icon  on the top right of the Reschedule Queue to display a list of Patients in the Reschedule Queue.
  • Select the Lookup icon or the Chain Link icon on the Patient's row.

  • If the Lookup icon was chosen, You are attached to "Patient" displays on the bar at the top of the Calendar.

  1. Use the Availability Panel on the left Sidebar to search for available Appointments.

  1. When you choose an Appointment time on the Calendar, the Patient information will auto-fill.
  2. Select an Appointment Type.
  3. Select Save (F2).

  1. A validation pop-up displays: Mark as Satisfied the following Items in the Reschedule Queue for "Patient".
  2. Choose the checkbox beside the Appointment that you are rescheduling to remove it from the Reschedule Queue.
  3. Select Save and Continue.

  1. On the Calendar, disconnect from the Patient by clicking the Red X on the top bar.

  1. If the Chain Link was chosen, choose an existing appointment to link by clicking the checkbox and clicking Link.

Choose Patient in the Reschedule Queue on the left Sidebar

  • Select the Patient in the Reschedule Queue on the left Sidebar. (Use the Reschedule Queue icon to expand the Queue if necessary.)
  • Choose Link or Search.
  • Follow the same process as above for Chain Link and Search.



  • Search for an available slot using the Search Availability panel. 
  • Choose an Appointment Slot from the search results.

Remove/Delete Appointments from the Rescheduling Queue

If a patient was added to the Reschedule Queue but was never rescheduled, you can remove them from the queue.

In the Rescheduling Queue, click the Trash Can icon at the end of the Patient line in the Action column.




Export the Rescheduling Queue

  1. Use Filters to choose the criteria.
  2. Select the Column Title to sort the list in a specific order.

  3. Export to PDF or CSV using one of the icons.
