You can report on Patients in a specific category using several methods.
Categories Examples:
- Medicare Patients
- Medicaid Patients
- Diabetic Patients
- Worker's Comp Patients
- Auto Accident Patients
Reports
- The Custom Patient Query can be used to create a list of Patients in a specific category
- The Custom Encounter Query can be used to report on the Encounters for these Patients.
- The Query by Form can be used to report by a Reporting Group.
Patient Type
This field is on the Patient Demographic screen. These are the System delivered Patient Types, but additional categories can be entered by selecting the Add button.
- 1 - Not Assigned
- 2 - Medicare
- 3 - Courtesy
- 4 - Not to be seen
- 5 - Medicaid
- 9 - Deceased
- D - Diabetic Patients
- WC - Worker's Compensation Claim
Use the Custom Patient Query Report.
Patient Code
This field is on the Patient Demographic screen. The following are System delivered, but additional Codes can be entered by using the Add button.
- 01 - Diabetes
- 02 - Cardiovascular
- 03 - Surgery
- 4 - Podiatry
- S - Surgical Patients
Auto Accident and Worker's Comp
The Patient Type and Patient Code can be used, but there are other ways to report on these as well.
Use the Plan field on the Add/Modify Policy screen to categorize Patients.
- AP - Auto Insurance Policy
- WC - Workers Compensation
- Use the Custom Encounter Query to create a Patient List by Policy Plan.
OR
Use the Insurance Reporting Group to categorize Insurances.
- Example: Create an Insurance Reporting Group and assign to all Auto Accident Insurances.
- You want to pull a report for all Auto Accident Patients for the last twenty quarters.
- Use the Query by Form Report.
Custom Fields
Custom Fields can be created on the Patient Demographics, the Add/Modify Insurance screen, and the Modify Charges screen. These fields can be used for reporting.
