Mass Write Off Link on the Encounter/Patient Dashboard

Use the Mass Write Off Link in the Balance panel on the Encounter or Patient Dashboard. Otherwise, the process is the same as Admin Mass Write Off.

Encounter Dashboard Mass Write Off

  • On the Encounter Dashboard, click the Mass Write Off link.
  • Balance Type: Defaults to Patient if there is a Patient balance. Insurance can also be chosen.
  • Write Off By: Automatically defaults to Encounter, but can be changed to Guarantor, Patient, or Procedure Line.
  • Patient: Defaults to the Patient where you chose Mass Write Off.
  • Encounter: Defaults to the Encounter number where you chose Mass Write Off.
  • Use other Filter criteria if applicable.
  • Follow Instructions for Mass Write Off from the Admin Dashboard.


Patient Dashboard Mass Write Off

  • On the Patient Dashboard, click the Mass Write Off link.
  • Balance Type: Choose Insurance or Patient.
  • Write Off By: Defaults to Encounter
  • Patient: Defaults to Patient where you chose Mass Write Off.
  • Use other Filter criteria if applicable.
  • Follow Instructions for Mass Write Off from the Admin Dashboard.
