An Encounter can be removed from Pre-Collections from the Patient Dashboard, Encounter Dashboard, or the Pre-Collections Worklist.
Encounter Dashboard: Remove from Pre-Collections List
- From the Encounter Dashboard, select the Remove from Collections button.
- Select Collection Agency in the pop-up.
- Select Save [F2].
If Encounter still has the message, Encounter is in Collections, the Dunning Count may need to be set back along with selecting the Remove from Pre-Collections checkbox.
Invoice History or Statement History
- Select the Invoice History or Statement History button on the Encounter Dashboard.
- Select the Change Dunning Count button.
- Set back the Dunning Count to a number less than the maximum Dunning Count.
- Enter a Note.
- Select the checkbox for Remove Encounter from Pre-Collections.
- Select Save[F2].
- Use the X in the upper right corner to close the Invoice History screen.
- Refresh your screen to see the change in the Pre-Collection message using the Refresh icon to the left of the URL or F5 on your keyboard.
Patient Dashboard: Remove from Pre-Collections List
- From the Patient Dashboard, choose the Select Action dropdown list and select Send to/Remove From Collections.
- Select the checkbox for all the Encounters to remove from Collections.
- Select Apply.
- Choose Remove Encounters with Collection Balance from Collections.
- Add a Note.
- Select Save [F2].
Pre-Collection Waitlist: Remove from Pre-Collections
This action will delete the Encounter from the Pre-Collections Worklist and will remove the Encounter from Pre-Collections.
- The Pre-Collections message will be removed from the Encounter Dashboard.
- If there are no other Encounters in Pre-Collections for this Patient, the Pre-Collections message will be removed from the Patient Dashboard.
Remove from Pre-Collections
- Select the Encounters that you want to remove from Pre-Collections.
- Select the Set Action button.
- Choose Action: Select Delete.
- Select Run.
- Select Apply Action.
- Select Run.
Remove Multiple Encounters from the In Collections List
The ability to remove multiple Encounters en masse from the Collections List can be a time saver.
- Remember that if Encounters have been sent to the Collection Agency, they cannot be removed.
- If the Encounters have already been sent to the Collection Agency, the Remove from Collections only removes it from this list.
- It is best practice not to remove Encounters from the In Collections list after sending to the Collection Agency.
Remove Encounters from the In Collections List
- Select Statements on the Left Side Menu.
- Select the In Collections button at the bottom of the Statements/Invoices Management screen.
- Select the Encounters to remove from the Collections List.
- Select the Remove From Collections button.
- On the Transfer Encounter to/from Collections, select the Remove from Collections [F2] button.
