Patient Documents Panel

The Patient Documents Panel shows all documents that have been uploaded or scanned (such as Insurance cards and driver's licenses).
  1. Select the Patient Documents link to open a list of scanned on the Documents/Images screen.
    • Select the Edit Icon to modify the Received date, Link to, or Note.
    • Select to Open link the scanned images.
    • Select the Printer Icon to print the scanned images.


  1. The Add link opens the screen to upload an already scanned document.

  1. The Scan link opens the Direct Scanning feature. *This is a premium add-on feature.


  1. The View link displays the scanned images with the options to select Front or Back view and provides the ability to switch the images.
  2. The Open link displays both front and back together.
  3. The Print icon page where you can choose the Printer.


Scanned Document Information

  1. Scanned Date and Time
  2. Type of Document
  3. Where the document was scanned in the System
  4. View , Open, Print


Edit a Scanned Image

  1. On the Patient Dashboard, select the Patient Documents link.

  1. Select the Edit icon to modify the following fields.
    1. Received
    2. Type
    3. Link To
    4. Note
  2. Select Save [F2].

Archive a Scanned Document


If you want the Scanned Document to still be in the System has been used on previous Encounters, you cannot mark it inactive.
  1. Go to the Insurance Profile in Insurance Management
  2. Use the Expiration Date field to make the Policy Profile inactive
    1. This process also makes the Scanned document inactive.

Delete a Scanned Image

  1. Select the Patient Documents link.
  2. Highlight the line you want to delete.
  3. Select the Delete button.
