Activate Institutional Billing

A System Setting must be added for Institutional Billing.

  • Admin > System Settings > Charges > UB04_USED = Yes

DEFAULT ADMISSION AND DISCHARGE DATE TO DOS

  • This setting controls if the Date of Service will populate as the Admitted Date and Discharge Date fields on Page 2 of the Modify Charge screen for Institutional (UB) Claims.
  • No and (---): Do not use the Date of Service as the Admitted Date or Discharge Date.
  • Yes: Use the Date of Service as the Admitted and Discharge Date.

  • Enter the value to populate the Admission Source field (Box 15 / ANSI 2300 CL1).

  • Enter the value to populate the Admit Type field (Box 14 / ANSI 2300 CL1).

DISSTAT

DEFAULT DISCHARGE STATUS

  • Enter the value to populate the Discharge Status field (Box 17 / ANSI 2300 CL1).

STATEMENT_DATES_DOS

- DEFAULT STATEMENT FROM AND TO DOS

  • This setting determines if the Date of Service will auto-populate the Statement To and Statement From dates on the UB04 Fields screen.
  • No and (---): Do not use the Date of Service as the Statement To and Statement From dates.
  • Yes: Use the Date of Service as the Statement To and Statement From dates.
