AUTOMATICBORDERDETECTION

-AUTOMATICE BORDER DETECTION

Use this setting to prevent capturing unwanted space, such as, black/gray space or other "noisy" areas on specific scanner models.

  • The unwanted space affects the use of the barcode scanning, the OCR read, and/or image quality.
  • If the scanner supports Automatic Border Detection, then activating this setting will better detect the document borders and improve overall scan quality.
  • Not all scanners have this setting.
  • Yes: Activate Automatic Border Detection
  • No and (---): Do not use Automatic Border Detection

REGIONALOCR

- REGIONAL OCR

  • This setting works with the optional iDology Insurance Card/Driver's License OCR scanning feature.
  • Yes: Adds the ability to select the region of the world for the ID Card during the scanning process.
  • ID formatting is different by global region.
  • If the Practice has Patients with international IDs, set to Y.
  • These are the region options: USA/Canada/South America/Europe/Australia/Asia/Africa
  • No and (---): There is not an option to select the Region for an ID card.

RESOLUTION

- DPI IMAGE RESOLUTION

  • This setting determines the resolution of scanned documents.
  • Resolution relates to the fineness of detail that a scanner can achieve, and is measured in dots per inch (DPI).
  • Selecting a higher resolution will slow the scanning process.
  • The higher the DPI, the more detail in the resulting image.
  • Options:
  • 300 and (---): Default resolution
  • 400
  • 500
  • 600

  • Even if Yes is selected, an alternate address will not be created if any of the following fields are missing:
  • Address 1
  • City
  • State
