Appointment Reminders are configured in Patient Outreach and are designed to reduce no-shows by automatically reminding Patients of upcoming Appointments.
- Appointment Reminders can be scheduled or sent on-demand (On-Demand Reminders are coming soon in v4.10).
Key Features
- Reminder Sets: Group templates, timing, and delivery preferences into reusable sets for consistent outreach.
- Message Templates: Create and manage text, email, or voice templates with patient-specific fields for personalized reminders.
- Reminder History: View undelivered reminders and troubleshoot delivery issues directly within the system.
Types of Appointment Reminders
- Appointment Reminders (Standard) are configured and scheduled from Patient Outreach.
- On-Demand Appointment Reminders (4.10 Only) are sent manually from the Patient Appointments panel on the Patient Dashboard.
- These use standard Appointment Reminder templates but are delivered right away.
- Appointment Update Reminders (4.10 Only) can be scheduled or sent on-demand.
- These require their own templates separate from standard reminders and are sent when:
- Updating appointment statuses en masse via Manage Appointments;
- Scheduling a block appointment that affects existing patient appointments;
- From the Patient Appointment screen.
