Maximum Concurrency can be specified for Appointment Types for a specific Slot Type.
Scheduling Rules define concurrency for a day or days for Resources, Facilities, and Appointment Types, but does not specify Max Concurrency for each Appointment Type in a Slot.
- Dr. A can see any combination of 10 Established Patients, New Patients, and Follow Ups.
- Max Concurrency AM: 5 Patients
- Max Concurrency PM: 5 Patients
- The Build has a Slot Type for 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM that will allow New Patient Appointments and Follow Up appointments with the Slot Type having 2 Concurrencies.
- If left like this the User could put two New Patients or two Follow Up appointments or one of each in the Slot on the Calendar.
However, Dr. A only wants 1 New Patient and 1 Follow up Patient at 9:00 and 1:00; not 2 New or 2 Follow Ups.
