BI: Practice Analysis Dashboard

The system-delivered Practice Analysis Dashboard visualizes key data points fromPractice Analysis Report in the PM System.

This Dashboard presents 5 Visuals:

  1. Count of Metric Type by Date Level and Group
  2. Count of E&M Procedure Codes by Group
  3. Average Revenue per Visit and Count of Encounters by Insurance, Grouped by Group
  4. Top 10 Procedure or Diagnostic Codes by Revenue or Count
  5. Year Over Year Count of Metric Type by Date Level and Group

Use the Controls header to modify the display criteria on the Practice Analysis Dashboard.

Practice Analysis Dashboard Visuals

  1. Count of Metric Type by Date Level and Group:
  • Trends the selected Metric Type over time.
  • Encounters: The unique number of Encounters in each time period for the selected Group.
  • Patients: The unique number of Patients seen in each time period for the selected Group.
  • If one patient is seen twice in the same month, that patient only counts as 1 Patient for the month.
  • Visits: The unique Visits in each time period for the selected Group.
  • If a patient is seen twice in one day, the Visit count is 1.
  • If a patient is seen on two different days in the same week, the Visit count is 2.
  • RVUs: The sum of the RVUs in the chosen time period for the selected Group.
  • Average Revenue per Charge: The sum of the posted Payments divided by the number of Encounters in a given time period.

  1. Count of E&M Procedure Codes by Group:
  • Displays the total number of E&M Procedure Codes by Group for Encounters in the given time frame.
  • Toggle the boxes on the left side of the Visual to filter out New and/or Existing Patients based on the E&M Procedure Codes.

  1. Average Revenue per Visit and Count of Encounters by Insurance, by Group:
  • Displays the top 15 Payers (X-Axis) determined by the Encounter Count for each Payer. The Average Payment per payer equals Posted Payments divided by the number of Encounters.
  • Bars: Count of Encounters
  • Line: Average Revenue per Visit
  • Dashed Line: Overall Payment average from all Insurances

  1. Top 10 Procedure or Diagnostic Codes by Revenue or Count:
  • Displays the top 10 Procedure or Diagnostic Codes by the chosen calculation options:
  • Include or exclude E&M
  • Toggle between Count and Revenue
  • Toggle between Diagnostic Codes and Procedure Codes

  1. Year Over Year Count of Metric Type by Date Level:
  • Trends the count of Encounters, Patients, Visits, RVUs, or Average Revenue per Charge for each year. 
  • Gives a Month over Month comparison for each year.
