Validation Errors for Cases

Validation Errors:   Insurance Profile

The Insurance Profile on the Case (XXX) does not match the Insurance Profile on the Charge. If you get this Validation Error, change the Insurance on the Add/Modify Charge screen or the Case .

Edit the Insurance Profile on the Case




Validation Error:  At least one Authorized CPT® must be on the charge

  1. This error indicates there is a CPT limitation on the the Authorization. This is a hard stop if none of the CPTs are on the Encounter.


Validation Error: The selected Authorization is not Effective for all Dates of Service on this Charge

  1. The encounter can be saved as an Incomplete Charge or Tagged to work later, or you can close the Validation pop-up and choose another case or disconnect from the present case.


Validation Warning: No remaining Visits on this Authorization

  1. You have the option to Save and Continue or close the pop-up.

Validation Warning: The Diagnosis Codes on this Charge do not match the Diagnosis Codes on the Case

The Diagnosis Codes on the Charge are different from the ones on the attached Case.

Options:
  1. To update the Diagnosis Codes on the Case to match the ones used on the Charge, select the Update the Case with the codes on this Charge checkbox.
  2. To leave the Diagnosis Codes as they are, select Save and Continue. The Diagnosis Codes on the Case will remain the same, which does not affect the Claim Diagnosis Codes.
  1. If you do not want to see the above Validation Warning, you can disable it:
    1. Go to Admin > System Settings > Charges .
    2. Change IGNUPDCASE  - IGNORE THE DIAGNOSIS CHANGE ON THE CHARGE COMPARED TO THE CASE(L) to YES .
