Scheduling Rules Overview
Scheduling Rules are configurable guidelines that control Appointment Scheduling. Scheduling Rules can:
- Control the flow of Patient Appointments.
- Prevent overbooking.
- Ensure adequate time between Appointments.
- Manage Resource allocation.
- Configure scheduling for various Appointment Types.

Scheduling Rule Logic | Example |
The Provider (Dr. Healy) does not want to schedule more than 10 Appointments per day at any Facility but will communicate exceptions to the front desk. | Validation Type: Warning Resource: Dr. Healy Facility: All Type: All Slot: All Max Day: 10 |
The Provider (Dr. Wellman) only wants 5 Appointments in the AM, and 4 Appointments in the PM at Wellman's Wellness with no exceptions. | Validation Type: Error Resource: Dr. Wellman Facility: Wellman's Wellness Type: All Slot: All Max AM: 5 Max PM: 4 |
