Do Encounters in Pre-Collections get billed?

If the Guarantor meets the requirements to receive a Statement and has Encounters that are not in Pre-Collections, then the Encounters that are in Pre-Collections will be included on the Statement.

  • This ensures that the Guarantor receives a notation of the entire balance owed.
  • Example: A Guarantor receives a Statement for $500 in April and does not make a Payment. At the end of the month, a $100 Encounter goes to Pre-Collections. The Statement in May will still reflect the $500 balance, even though $100 is in Pre-Collections.

Why is the Dunning Count greater than the maximum defined in Statement Defaults?

If a Pre-Collection Encounter is billed on a Statement, the System will automatically increase the Dunning Count and Statement Count every time the Encounter is billed.
