Payer Rejection-A8: Rejected for Detailed Description of Service

RejectionPE - A6 -A1-;Acknowledgement/Receipt-The claim/encounter has been received. This does not mean that the claim has been accepted for adjudication.;Entity acknowledges receipt of claim/encounter.;Payer-A8-;Rejected;Detailed description of service.

Resolution: The Encounter needs a description entered in the note field on the line item.

  1. Go to the Encounter Dashboard.

  2. Choose the Modify button.

 

 

  1. Select the Line item of the CPT® that was rejected.

  2. In the Note field, enter a more detailed description for the Procedure.

  3. Select Save [F2].

  4. Select Save [F2] again.

 


  1. Resubmit the Claim.
