Copy a Previous Encounter

Copy a Previous Encounter

This allows you to create a new charge using part or all of an existing charge.

View Service History and Copy Options

  1. On the Modify Charge screen, click Last Service to access the Service History and the Copy Options. This screen shows all Encounters for this Patient.

  1. On the Encounter you want to copy, choose one of the following from the Copy dropdown list:
  • Dx Only: Copies the Diagnoses to the Diagnosis Panel on the new Encounter.
  • Claim-Level Only: Copies the information to the Claim Panel and the Claim-Level Diagnoses to the Diagnosis Panel on the new Encounter.
  • Full Charge: Copies to the Claim Panel, Diagnosis Panel, and the Procedures Panel. Enter DOS from pop-up.

***Note: If you copy the Full Charge, the Fees could be different:

  • If the Insurance has changed, the Fees will be pulled from the Charge Fee Schedule that is linked to the Insurance on the new Encounter.
  • If the Insurance is the same and the Charge Fee Schedule has not been updated, the Fees will be copied from the selected previous Encounter.
