Change Healthcare Incident Update 05/16/2024

Message from Etactics

Over the last month, Etactics has worked closely with Change Healthcare and other vendors to restore connectivity for transactions and payers. We have strived to put as little administrative burden on customers as possible and seek alternate routes whenever possible.

We acknowledge that the road to fully restored functionality has been long and has had bumps, but we are happy to see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Etactics remains committed to you, our customers, and will continue to restore all payer services as quickly as possible.

Please see the below sections for updates on each transaction type.

Claims

Etactics has been able to reconnect to many affected claims payers via alternative routes over the past month.

There are four categories of claim payers that remain down. Here is our plan of action for each type of claim.

Type of Claim

Next Steps

Payers who require

claim enrollment

Etactics will begin to reach out to customers regarding re-enrollment where reconnection with CHC is not an option

No alternative route

Etactics will continue to engage with CHC and alternative vendors to find routing for these payers

Dental Claims

Etactics is engaged with CHC to reconnect with dental payers via the Optum iEDI platform

Worker’s Comp Payers

Etactics is investigating an alternate relationship to connect to Worker’s Comp payers

Electronic Remittance Advices (ERAs)

You may have noticed that some ERA payers have once again started to be delivered. Etactics has worked with Change Healthcare to start a mass re-enrollment process.

For payers that Change Healthcare has reconnected with via their Relay Exchange platform, Change Healthcare staff have begun to re-enroll providers. Etactics is monitoring the progress of the re-enrollment.

Please refrain from reporting missing ERAs for those payers impacted by the Change Healthcare outage, even if you start to receive some ERAs and not others. The mass re-enrollment project is not yet completed. Additionally Etactics does not yet have a way to report missing ERAs to Change Healthcare, though we are working together on a solution.

Eligibility

Payers continue to reconnect with the Change Healthcare IMN platform, enabling Etactics to re-enable connectivity.

One significant roadblock on eligibility that remains are payers who providers had enrolled with through the Relay platform, which no longer supports eligibility. Etactics is engaged with Change Healthcare in an attempt to find a resolution that does not require re-enrollment by the provider.

Claim Status

Change Healthcare has announced that claim status is being re-enabled through their IMN platform. Etactics is engaged with Change Healthcare to reconnect this product.
