BI: Appointments Dashboard

The system-delivered Appointments Dashboard visualizes data points from the Appointment Calendar in the PM System.

This Dashboard presents 5 Visuals:

  1. Appointments Missed
  2. Count and Dollar Amount of Missing Revenue Type
  3. Missed Revenue from Lost Appointments
  4. Estimated Revenue by Booked Appointments
  5. Appointment Utilization

Use the Controls header to modify the display criteria on the Appointments Dashboard.

Appointments Dashboard Visuals

  1. Appointments Missed
  • Shows the percentage of missed (cancelled and no-show excluding deleted appointments) Appointments by dividing the Appointments marked as missed by the total Appointment count for the given time period.
  • This excludes deleted Appointments from the total count.
  • Toggle to include or exclude Acceptable Cancellations in the missed count.

  1. Count and Dollar Amount of Missing Revenue Type
  • Calculates the amount of missed revenue by un-marked Appointments without a linked Encounter and the count of missed Appointments.
  • Dollar Amount: This is calculated as an estimate of the Charge or Payment value based on the Average Charge or Payment for the Resource and Appointment Type.
  • Use the Revenue Based On dropdown in the Control header to toggle between Charges and Payments.

  1. Missed Revenue From Lost Appointments
  • Returns the dollar amount in Charges that was lost due to Missed Appointments.

  1. Estimated Revenue by Booked Appointments
  • Returns the expected Charge dollar amount based on booked Appointments.
  • Dollar Amount: This is calculated as an estimate of the Charge value based on the Average Charge for the Resource and Appointment Type.

  1. Appointment Utilization
  • Divides the total amount of Scheduled Appointment time by the total available time.
  • This includes Slots that can have concurrent Appointments.
  • Example: A Slot runs from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, has a concurrency of 3 every 30 minutes, and has 180 minutes of available Appointment time. The Provider had five 30 minute Appointments during that Slot, using 150 minutes of available Appointment time. The Utilization Rate is 150/180=83.33%,
  • A percentage greater than 100% is an overbooking.
