Create a Procedure (CPT®) code
CPT®: CMSAP or your preference. Example: CMSAP (CMS Advance Payment)
SUBMIT CPT: Same as CPT or leave blank.
Description: CMS Advance Payment or your preference
Fee: $0.00
Select Save [F2].
Create a Transaction Code to use for the Adjustment
From Admin on the left sidebar, select Transaction Codes.
Code: Use the example or use one of your own; Example: CAPSAP
Type: Debit or Credit
Group: IC
Description: CAPS Medicare Adjustment or your preference
Abbreviation: Can be the same as the Code or your preference
Responsibility: All Insurances
Report As: Adjustment
Select Save [F2].
